Coir Rachta is a collective attempt to fight back against shame in regards to housing. It's a collaborative project that unwinds the strings of systemic conditioning that weave through our bodies and homes. We use crime, shoreline worldbuilding & sea creature consciousness to bring hidden forces to light.

I wrote a novel, stories & a play in solitude. I learnt I was good at building intricate & unique worlds but my writing practice was lonely.

In 2025 my interest shifted to the larger societal force of shame re: housing. For a while I tried to write in solitude, but I felt heavy & stuck. I imagined something bigger / collaborative, in the form of a joint narrative development, with other writers, artists, filmmakers, theatremakers. I would create the world, & invite others in to immerse themselves & together we would investigate shame!

The heaviness finally turned to movement.
